Embassy Display

Embassy Display is a typeface inspired by the sign of a small neighborhood cinema in Modena, located near my home. I used to walk past it almost every day, and over time, I grew fond of those glowing letters, one of my earliest encounters with typography. The cinema has long since closed, and during recent renovations, its iconic sign was removed. Although I asked to keep it, my request was denied, and no trace of it remains today.

With Embassy Display, I wanted to bring that sign back to life, preserving it as both a memory and a personal tribute to a forgotten fragment of the city’s visual landscape that quietly shaped my eye.
